Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for all business forecasting and will provide analysis in decision-making matters both operationally and strategically. The Plant Accountant will also direct activities of product manufacturing analysis, inventory valuation, and analyze various costs to ensure integrity, working in collaboration with the costing department.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Knowledge**
- 5+ years of plant accounting experience in a manufacturing facility, with an expertise in BOM creation, maintenance, costing and variance reporting.
- Industrial manufacturing experience and an understanding of production processes and procedures.
- Experience with intercompany transactions.
- Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel formulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare various financial analytics related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information as needed for decision making support.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
- Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in ERP system.
- Lead and manage inventory review process.
- Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
- Review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of entries.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time-to-time.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to improve overall effectiveness of the company.
- Work with external audit as needed.
- Proactively find solutions and create best practices for the cost accounting function.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers by providing exceptional customer service.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
