**Position**: Payroll, Benefits + Finance Administrator

**Location**: 50 Wagstaff Drive

**Starting Pay**: $58,000 - $62,000 per annum

We are looking for a full time Payroll, Benefits + Finance Administrator to join the People, Culture + Diversity department. You must be meticulously organized, detailed and customer-service oriented. You possess a strong knowledge of payroll compliance and legislation and have a solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures. **Primary Responsibilities**

**Payroll**
- Administer bi-weekly payrolls that will include salaried, hourly, full and part-time employees as well as casual employees
- Track and manage both vacation and statutory pay
- Ensure compliance with current policies and procedures and both Federal and Provincial regulatory bodies
- Verify payroll worksheet, ensuring the accuracy before entering data for import
- Ensure all payroll changes are supported by required documentation and forms
- Enter and process new hires and terminations
- Responsible for year end filing and annual production of T4s, T4As and T2200.
- Responsible for the calculation and remittance of various deductions, for all payroll groups; reconcile payroll accounts with the General Ledger; ensure accurate expense and liability accounts are processed
- Responsible for the maintenance of payroll records for internal and external requirements.
- Responsible for payroll yearly audit for internal and external auditors.
- Liaise closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate costing of payroll; provide payroll information when required for the filing of corporate tax returns, IRAP claim submissions, accounting for deferred development projects and liaises with Finance on taxation issues.
- Responsible for identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting payroll functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
- Responsible for identifying potential improvements in payroll and control processes, ensuring that identified opportunities are implemented successfully.
- Partner with the People, Culture + Diversity team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations and merit increases.
- Address or respond to inquiries from managers, team members and all stakeholders regarding payroll and expenses in agreed turnaround time.

**Benefits**
- Complete benefits administration, including new-hire enrollment and set-up, benefit premium calculation, termination of benefits and benefit reconciliation with the provider
- Participate and support the benefits renewal process
- Responsible for identifying potential improvements in benefits administration, ensuring that identified opportunities are implemented successfully.

**Finance**
- Complete assigned accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks required by the finance team.
- Complete reconciliation tasks as required.
- Complete assigned month-end and year-end close functions.

**Skills + Qualifications**
- A minimum of 3+ Years experience of payroll experience
- Experience using HRIS + Payroll platforms like Humi HR, Bamboo, Ceridian is required
- Certified Payroll Designation is an asset
- Ability to maintain strict confidence
- Accuracy and attention to detail
