**The Opportunity**:
The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational efficiency of rental and event services (front of house, box office, bartending, facility rental, and administrative services) and providing the highest quality standards for entertainment, guest, and client experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing, implementing, growing, and marketing cultural facilities rental spaces
- Assist in gathering industry benchmarks and trends, innovation, and leading practices to identify service gaps and utilization strategies
- Responsible for the delivery of all client facing aspects of Culture & Event Services, including front of house services, bartending, ticketing services, facility rentals, and event setup.
- Monitor, assess, and analyze ticket sales, rental revenues, and utilization rates while working with the finance department to ensure revenues brought in are balanced and budget goals are met
- Assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and leading of all front-of-house, box office staff, event attendants, staff and volunteers, ensure they are knowledgeable in operating the required software, systems, and tasks related to supporting Culture & Event Services programming.
- Work with key user groups and community organizations on larger special events that present high numbers of visitors and publicity; Ensure professional relationships are created and maintained with these users
- Responsible for the management of front of house, box office, facility, and bar inventory
- Providing and coordinating support in the administration of City-led signature events, the special event permitting process, and the community event grant
- Responsible for the coordination of all AHS and AGLC requirements associated with the Culture and Event Services portfolio
**You Bring**:
- Post-secondary education in Fine Arts, Hospitality, Event Planning, Public Management, Business, or other related degree
- Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and AED certificate (or willing to obtain it within 3 months of joining)
- ProServe certification is required
- 3 - 5 years of experience managing an event services or hospitality related entity
- 2 - 4 years of experience and working knowledge of venue ticketing systems or patron management databases
- Working knowledge of food and beverage systems such as Proserve, AHS and AGLC licences, POS systems, etc.
- Proven experience in customer service, hospitality, or event planning
- Experience with managing relationships and expectations to meet all stakeholders' needs, while focusing on branding and ticket sales
- Knowledge of and passion for the performing arts, specifically theatre, is preferred
- Municipal government experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated with the ability to work within strict deadlines and in high pressure situations
- Ability to quickly align with shifting priorities, work assignments and timelines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven effective leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships
- Excellent time management, strong planning, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding dependability, initiative, and creativity
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to have a flexible schedule
