Applications are invited to serve as Part-Time Professors in the Artisan Distilling program within the School of Wine, Beer and Spirits at Niagara College. These limited term opportunities will primarily cover the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 terms at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.

Part-time faculty within the Artisan Distilling program work as part of a program team of full
- and part-time faculty and technical support staff within our classrooms, labs and commercial Teaching Distillery. This team collaboratively provides a superior and supportive learning experience to students enrolled in an eight-month graduate certificate program.

Applicants will be considered for courses including those related to sales and marketing of spirits, sensory analysis of spirits and product development from branding and marketing perspectives. Program course outlines are published here.

**Required qualifications**:

- Minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in a related field such as business, science, or engineering
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in mid-career to senior roles within the spirits industry, preferably in either marketing or production development settings
- Comfort and competence with sensory analysis and tasting labs, including an understanding of standards of identity of spirit categories
- Demonstrated understanding of product development and branding, including provincial beverage alcohol marketing and listing requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated collaborative communication skills suited to a collegial working environment
- Additional professional certifications in fields related to beverage alcohol (e.g. WSET)
- Additional professional certifications or credentials in teaching and learning
- Technical production experience in Distilling or related lines of the beverage alcohol industry
- Evidence of success in classroom teaching or mentoring of others
