Located in the heart of the Niagara Region - just minutes from one of the world’s most well-known tourism destinations - Niagara College offers more than 130 innovative programs between our campuses in Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Since opening its doors in 1967, Niagara College has grown to become a leader in education and training and one of the most enterprising colleges in Canada.
Applications are invited for a full-time Professor, Human Resource Management, focusing on HRIS at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus. This position commences in August 2023.
**Required qualifications**:
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline
**Required knowledge and experience**:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of recent related progressive experience in Human Resources
- Demonstrated ability in using various digital tools for recruitment, training, performance evaluation, reporting and analysis and other functions offered by HRIS platforms, social media, and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of HRPA designations, competencies, and requirements for students
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at a post-secondary level or adult training experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop multi-media materials and alternative delivery strategies and incorporate appropriate educational technologies into the learning environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate learning and deliver course content with a diverse range of students to support their success.
- History of forging strong working relationships with peers and colleagues
- Proven willingness to contribute to a strong team environment and positive work culture
- Evidence of commitment to supporting and guiding students toward their successes
- Advanced internal and external networking/relationship building and liaison abilities.
- Professional affiliations and related professional designations
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience in curriculum design and program development for applied learning which accommodates students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles
- Experience with social media platforms as they relate to the HR discipline.
- Professional affiliations and related professional designations (CHRP or CHRL)
- Experience in universal design, virtual/hybrid learning design and delivery
- Practical experience with learning management systems
