Applications are invited for the two (2) positions of Full-Time Professor, Recreation Therapy, in the Community Services, Justice & Fitness Studies Division located at the Welland Campus.

The Professor position is responsible for providing academic leadership and developing an effective learning environment for students. This includes designing, revising, and updating courses/curriculum; teaching assigned courses; consulting with contributors (faculty, community, and industry partners); defining course objectives and evaluating the extent to which students meet these objectives; utilizing a variety of instruction media /resources; and providing individualized instruction where necessary. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

**Education/Designation/Certifications**:

- A degree in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Minimum five (5) years of practical, relevant vocational experience in the recreation therapy field
- Minimum two (2) years previous teaching experience at a post-secondary level or adult training experience
- R/TRO and/or CTRS credential
- Demonstrated networking/relationship building and liaising abilities
- A Master’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience in curriculum design and development
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster / support the same with their students and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
- Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, problem solving, analytical and teamwork skills
- Evidence of commitment to student success and academic excellence
