Contract full time (35 hours per week)

**Reports to**: Manager, Homelessness Prevention Services

**Background**

ACSA is a nonprofit, multi service agency addressing needs and empowering children, youth, newcomers, homeless, and otherwise underserved communities. Our core programs include housing and outreach programs, food security programs, newcomer services, youth outreach and therapy programs, child and family programs, early years’ programs, computer access programs, and community engagement.

**Summary of Job Functions**

**Duties include**:

- Plan, convene and facilitate team and individual supervision meetings
- Develop, monitor and supervise program protocols, procedures and appropriate recordkeeping for program
- Ensure all funding processes, targets, standards and requirements of funding bodies are met
- Meet reporting timelines and requirements of funding bodies and the organization
- Manage program resources and create accountability structures; maintain accurate financial records; approve expenses
- Liaise with funding bodies; attend meetings and trainings as required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance programs, maximize resources and identify trends and opportunities
- Participate in Supervisor/Manager meetings
- Review and monitor data in SMIS to ensure client records are up-to-date
- Prepare statistical and narrative reports as required by funding body
- Review and prepare monthly program report for submission to City
- Maintain internal client tracking report
- Complete TGRIP entries on a monthly basis
- Support the hiring, training and onboarding of new staff
- Conduct staff performance evaluations
- Foster a positive and responsive team environment
- Provide relevant training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Respond to emergency and crisis situations ensuring appropriate conflict resolution, support, debriefing and follow up
- Provide on-call support to staff when off-site or during afterhours and weekends as needed
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary degree in Social Services or related discipline and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven supervisory experience in community or social service organization
- Experience and/or background in housing and evictions an asset
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to harm reduction framework and housing first approach
- Sound counselling, service planning and case management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage issues tactfully and relationships with professionalism
- Experience with maintaining statistics, writing program reports and developing and implementing evaluation tools
- Strong critical thinking and ability to problem solve
- Strong understanding of issues affecting vulnerable tenants
- Skilled in assessment, case management, advocacy, and negotiation
- Knowledge of community resources and community services, particularly in Scarborough an asset
- Demonstrated engagement skills with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Prior EPIC experience an asset
- Knowledge of SMIS an asset
