**Job Summary**:
Hours: Permanent Full-time (35 Hrs./Week)

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Occasionally will be asked to work an evening or weekend in exchange for equivalent time off during regular program hours.

**Job Summary**:
The Program Supervisor’s actions will reflect consistency with Pegasus Community Project’s Mission and Vision statements and operational directions. All actions and decisions will endeavor to reflect our beliefs about the valuable contributions of participants to their communities and the world

The Supervisor provides program and administrative leadership within a community setting for participants with developmental challenges.

The Supervisor is the link between service delivery and the administrative level of the Agency.

The Supervisor sets the standard for all direct support employees, students and volunteers and is accountable for them meeting this standard.

The Supervisor must be able to act as a “competent supervisor” in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of the Province of Ontario.

**Job Duties**:
1. Develops and implements appropriate activities for Pegasus Participants.

2. Works directly with participants, providing personal support and assistance to participate in activities.

3. Using an individualized planning process, works with the participant and their support network to set and evaluate goals for program participation. As part of this planning process, maintains accountability to the participants, their families, and other support persons.

4. Participates and takes responsibility for annual reviews (PGPR process)

5. Directly supervises the work of program staff including orientation, instruction where required, monitoring and performance evaluation and discipline. Fosters a team approach, encourages input and is accessible to employees.

6. Conveys the agency philosophy to other staff and demonstrates how this is translated into the program activities, relationships with participants and their support persons, as well as the community at large.

7. Conducts regular staff meetings and encourages all staff to work cooperatively.

8. Supervises students on placement from educational institutions.

9. Trains and supports volunteers to the program.

10. Facilitates a positive working relationship among staff members of several agencies who will be involved in the Pegasus program. This includes staff from group homes who support Participants.

11. Ensures effective operation of the Program by:

- Scheduling and organizing tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining time sheets accurately and submitting all payroll documentation on time.
- Maintaining administrative and program memos and ensures that staff are kept informed of directives, including incident reports.
- Controlling petty cash, monitoring general expenditures in relation to the program budget.
- Submitting monthly petty cash reconciliations following the Internal Financial Controls.
- Maintaining inventory control.
- Ensuring that complete and confidential records for each participant are maintained.
- Maintains daily program log and supervisor’s journal.
- Promoting health and safety in the work place and directing employees to follow all Pegasus health and safety policies.
- Maintaining the Safety Plan

12. Identifies appropriate staff development needs in conjunction with the Program Manager.

13. Attends general administrative and program meetings as required.

14. Meets regularly with the Program Manager and/or Executive Director and other Supervisors.

15. Maintains all agency manuals and memos and participant related information.

16. Ensures that all agency policies and procedures are implemented effectively, and reviewed regularly as per the Policies & Procedures.

17. Ensures the safety of participants while attending the program including maintaining all health and safety standards and procedures enacted by the agency.

18. Directly oversees and assigns duties in the proper dispensing and recording of all medications received by the participants.

19. Ensures that each participant remains free from physical and emotional abuse and that all participants are afforded the opportunity to enjoy the social amenities of the community.

20. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Executive Director.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree or minimum 2 year diploma or degree in developmental disabilities or related field
- Previous supervisory experience is needed.
- A minimum of 2 years work experience supporting people with developmental disabilities, or related work.
- Share a valued attitude toward people with disabilities,
- Ability to efficiently arrange and perform a wide variety of tasks as a leader independently, or as part of a team,
- Ability to perform delegated tasks with mínimal supervision,
