Reporting to the Client Services Support Manager, the POS Menu Programming and Support Technician isresponsible for menu programming, downloading of menus, feature/test sheets, and special promotions for all divisions of Boston Pizza International, including Franchisees, Business Management Units and Marketing Teams. This position also provides technology support for all divisions of Boston Pizza involving 24/7 helpdesk support, project research, and project deployments.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Building and creation of POS order entry configuration as requested from Corporate, Local Store Marketing initiatives and Franchisee requests.
- Responsible for gathering required information for POS menu downloads to the stores
- Maintains itemized menu change report for the IT department
- Provides supporting documentation for Marketing and/or stores detailing POS menu launch instructions
- Responsible for maintenance of all Menu Hubs and distribution to POS Vendors for New Systems Staging including online ordering and kitchen video
- Network, Firewall, and Anti-Virus administration & monitoring for restaurant locations
- Responsible for supporting third party vendors / partners with store hardware and software configuration
- Establish and maintain POS Solution Centre Service Level Agreement standards with stores and all offices
- Create and maintain documented procedures for store based and corporately used technologies supported by the POS Solution Centre
- Isolate problem trends and ensures that troubleshooting efforts are completed for recurring problems until permanent solutions are found
- Ensure POS support expectations are met through first and second level problem determination and problem resolution efforts
- Document reported problems in the POS ticketing system and follow-up with stores to ensure timely resolution of problems and work orders
- Provide Point of Sale training and support for Corporate departments and Franchise Stores upon request
- Provide reports and statistics for key project or software deployments and initiatives
- Provide afterhours 24/7 store support for required evenings and weekends on a scheduled basis
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years of working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (XP, Win 7, Win 8, POSready, Embedded, CE, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suites 2010 +
- Minimum two years IT experience
- General knowledge in DOS scripting environment
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate with technical & non-technical users/clients & employees in cross functional teams
- Must have strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
- Must be proactive with excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills while being extremely detail oriented
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge and experience of Restaurant Operations and inventory management
- Hands-on technical knowledge and experience in PC and network support
- Working knowledge of various Point of Sale related hardware and software Systems - POSitouch preferred
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and topology - routers, switches, and LAN configurations
- Experience configuring and deploying firewall / routers
- Good understanding of antivirus software - Sophos Antivirus Suite knowledge preferred
- Team player but able to perform well independently
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- May be required to provide on-site technical support

**Desired Skills/Experience**:

- 2 Year Technical Diploma or Degree
- Strong project management skills
- Experience or understanding of Restaurant Operations
