The Legislative Assembly of Ontario seeks an HR Analyst who, as part of our Human Resources Branch, will provide analytical support to a broad range of HR policy initiatives, programs and services.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Collect HR data from payroll outputs, surveys, employment records, and exit interviews
- Implement relevant HR metrics in order to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce
- Analyze data and statistics for trends with regard to recruitment practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws
- Conduct report analysis for HR branch business needs and Assembly reports for client dissemination
- Assess business process workflows to identify opportunities for their improvement and assist in the research and analysis of viable options for business solutions
- Conduct analysis on compensation programs and policies
- Administer job evaluations including the administration of position management in HRIS by supporting position modification and tracking employee movement

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Work with HR management to assist in the development of business initiatives
- Report on the status of projects and processes for the branch
- Maintain HR policies for the branch, including recommending new policies and changes to existing policies to ensure legislative updates are brought forward to HR management
- Support and contribute to the delivery of salary administration and annual salary increases

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration or information technology
- Human Resources certification (or pursuit of one)
- Minimum of five year's experience in a similar role with analysis, auditing and reporting
- Proficient experience using human resource management systems (HRIS) including how to extract data for reporting and analytical requirements
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced level Excel proficiency, and ability to create charts, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- In-depth understanding of employment laws
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Understanding of employee issues and needs to make recommendations

- The Office of the Assembly is currently in a one-year flexible workplace pilot program that will run until May 31, 2023. The program permits employees in certain positions to work some of their regular scheduled hours from a mutually agreed upon location away from the office without compromising the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of the Assembly business or overall service delivery. Employees that are able to participate in the program understand and agree that they must be available, when requested, to be onsite as required and, as such, are required to maintain proximity within commuting distance in Ontario from the Assembly’s formal place of business at the Legislative Precinct in Toronto, Ontario. Employees may be required to return to work in the Legislative Precinct full-time at the conclusion of the pilot program._
