POSITION TITLE: TEAM MANAGER

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Director of Miyoskamin, the Team Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
Clinical Supervision
- Provide guidance to intervention staff in relation to their clinical duties
- Coordinate and chair weekly case management meetings in collaboration with the

Saralikitaaq team and the Miyoskamin intervention team
- Respond to crisis situations should they arise
- Provide support and discuss any difficulties or problems as they arise concerning clinical interventions
- Selecting and supervising stagiaire students
- Clinical training for new staff & debriefing with staff
- Have a wellness plan in place to ensure personal well being
- Advise staff on their clinical decisions
- React swiftly to emergencies and be on call

Building out Education & Vocational Partnerships
- Connecting with local post-secondary institutions to collaborate on opportunities for participants in house
- Developing a strategy for vocational and educational opportunities for participants
- Amalgamating resources and information for various programs
- Gathering resources for educational and vocational funding
- In collaboration with the programming assistant, hosting job and education fair on site twice per year, according to program deadlines

Staff Management:

- Identifying training and professional development opportunities for intervention team staff
- Conducting performance evaluation of intervention team staff
- Managing schedules for intervention team staff
- Providing direct and, when necessary, one-on-one support to intervention team staff
- Cultivating a safe and engaging workspace
- Overseeing and caring for a small team of 4-6 staff

Intervention Duties:

- Intervene with participants for conflict resolution
- Being available, when necessary, to provide one-on-one support to participants in crisis or in precarious situations
- Issue warnings as needed to participants
- Supporting intervention staff in interventions, when necessary

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW completed) & member of the l'OTSTCFQ (asset)
- Bilingualism in French and English is necessary
- Must demonstrate team work competence
- Have strong leadership & decision making skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Must be experienced with urban Indigenous populations
- Have proficient computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset
