What to Expect
- The Associate Regional Manager must deliver excellent results and achieve goals month after month by developing effective local teams, ensuring operational standards are met on a consistent basis, and leading strategic business planning within a designated territory. The RIT communicates effectively and works with cross-functional partners and the Regional Manager to drive business results, can translate strategic themes into concrete action plans, and provides consistent feedback to identify, prioritize, resource, and operationalize projects. This role directly supports Tesla’s mission by ensuring an accurate, consistent, and rapid transaction for Tesla customers.

What You’ll Do
- BUILD EFFECTIVE TEAMS
- Source, recruit, hire, and onboard top talent
- Lead, develop, coach and motivate high-performing teams
- Reinforce a culture of leadership and team excellence: training standards, career pathing, succession planning, talent acquisition and employee retention
- Spend majority of time in both stores and delivery centers; and provide coaching, and in-the-moment feedback to management and senior team leaders
- Directly manage a team of people-leaders across field retail, service-plus, and delivery locations
- Set clear team targets and individual goals; hold teams accountable by driving performance through consistent observation and on the floor coaching
- Create a culture of employee engagement and recognition of high performers
- Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both internally and externally

DRIVE TEAM PERFORMANCE
- Set clear targets and individual center goals for sales and delivery targets, customer service and productivity
- Hold teams accountable by driving performance management with local leadership through observation and consistent 1 on 1 meetings
- Use Analytics to make actionable business recommendations to local managers
- Proactively mediate and resolve any customer concerns or escalations that require additional leadership support
- Execute daily, monthly and quarterly disciplines to hit targets and drive profitability

REINFORCE OPERATIONAL STANDARDS
- Develop and reinforce high operational standards by coaching through and reinforcing targets
- Maintain and reinforce Safety and Security standards by partnering with EH&S, Workplace and Security teams
- Create a continuous improvement culture by actively collecting feedback, testing strategies, and improving vehicle and customer flow in each sales and delivery location
- Demonstrate fluency and reinforce requirements in the local market’s Sales and DMV requirements and processes
- Optimize sales and delivery processes that promote customer experience
- Help control expenses, including staffing, supplies, and services

STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Real Estate, Charging, Marketing, Government Affairs, Retail Operations, Recruiting, HR, Financial Operations, and Service to develop a local market strategy
- Develop commercial awareness of the market and partner with local communities, businesses, and Tesla owners to create opportunities for growth
- Provide consistent feedback to internal teams regarding capacity, throughput, and errors
- Work collaboratively with Service team on repairs and vehicle rectifications for EOQ execution
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet business needs

What You’ll Bring
- Educational experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience and at least 7 years of experience leading large teams in a high-growth, service-focused industry
- Passion for Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, and sales skills
- Prior P&L experience preferred
- Ability to travel
- Willing to relocate
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to stand or sit for 8 hours or more
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
