Mobile Instrument Service & Repair (MISR) changed the face of instrument repair in Canada
when it launched its first On-Site service van (Mobile Repair Lab) in 1982. MISR operates from
the National Repair Centre in Oshawa and provides both On-Site and Off-Site mobile repair
services. MISR is the largest surgical instrument repair company in Canada. MISR is ISO 9001
Certified and has a Health Canada Medical Device Establishment License (License Number
3075). Join the MISR team as a division of the Pacific Surgical family of companies. We
are seeking a Customer Service Representative & Operations Coordinator for immediate
full-time employment in our Oshawa-based National Repair Centre.
Logistics Department - Operations Coordinator responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate logistics for the transport and delivery of repair orders
- Receive repair orders to MISR Oshawa facility and update paper and electronic records
- Package shipments and generate applicable courier forms
- Manage shipment related issues with vendors and customs brokers
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of
shipments
- Monitor the delivery and receiving of Third Party repair orders
Customer Service Department - Customer Service Representative responsibilities
**will include**:
- Create quotations and facilitate customer approvals
- Process invoices for repair orders
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and
interactive communication
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the
time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Update repair order forms and electronic logs and records regarding status of repair
order
- MS Excel and Word knowledge preferred
- Multitasking skills required
- Solid communication skills - both written and verbal
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions
Must be able to record data and maintain accurate documentation
- General knowledge of applicable quality and regulatory standards and regulations is
preferred
- Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs
- Frequent standing/walking
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required,
- 1-3 years of customer service and/or warehouse and/or technical office experience
