Job Summary
Sagen is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Risk Analyst with expertise in dashboard creation to join our Insurance Risk Team. Reporting to the Director, Risk Operations you will play a crucial part in supporting our risk assessment and mitigation efforts by developing insightful and visually engaging dashboards. This role will provide in-depth quantitative analysis and insights to support the monitoring and enhancement of our insurance portfolio. Your analytical skills, coupled with your proficiency in data visualization tools, will empower our team to make informed decisions and effectively manage insurance-related risks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Director in the design, implementation and enhancement of insurance risk reporting that provide insights into risk metrics, trends, and controls.
- Collaborate closely with the Insurance Risk Team to understand their data needs and requirements.
- Transform complex data sets into clear, concise visualizations that will drive informed decision-making.
- Develop, maintain and enhance reporting to facilitate the monitoring of the portfolio and emerging risks.
- Contribute to the redesign and automation of the portfolio insurance operational processes using data analytics tools (such as Power BI, Python, Alteryx) to enhance resource efficiency while still meeting lender requirements.
- Work closely with data engineers to optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for dashboard creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and contribute to the enhancement of risk assessment strategies.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices in data visualization and risk analysis techniques.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- 2+ years of related work experience which may include co-op program work terms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI, Microstrategy and Tableau and strong programming skills with querying languages.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office toolset (Excel, Powerpoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- A strong analytical mind with attention to detail and the desire to learn and grow.
- Display a sense of urgency, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables to stakeholders.
- Organizational skills, is a self-starter and a self-learner.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new tools/ techniques, and open to share knowledge with others.
