Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Risk Analytics, the Risk Analyst will be primarily responsible for automating and executing the portfolio insurance process as well as providing analytics and reporting for the Risk Management team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform detailed analysis of portfolio and economic data to inform and support decision making by leaders in Risk Management.
- Contribute to the development of analytic solutions supporting insight generation aligned to departmental and organizational strategy.
- Act as the primary contact on the portfolio insurance operational process including file submission data transformation, validation and testing of tranches, providing analytics for the Portfolio Insurance Manager, responding to lender queries and other related day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to the redesign and automation of the portfolio insurance operational process using Alteryx, Power BI or Python to enhance resource efficiency while still meeting lender requirements.
- Ensure regular portfolio insurance lender tranches are processed efficiently and within lender timeline requirements.
- Collaborate with IT data engineers and architects to develop data pipelines within data governance guidelines.
- Research additional data sources to aid in building analyses and integrate with existing data.
- Support the Risk Analytics team with ad-hoc analysis and presentations.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- 2+ years of related work experience which may include coop program work terms.
- Strong analytical mind-set with experience in data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python and R.
- Knowledge of economic data sources and how to obtain and interpret data.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office toolset (Excel, Powerpoint).
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to translate and explain technical results for a non-technical audience.
