This is a remote, work from home, online working position with priority given to Indigenous people who live in so-called Canada.

Indigenous Climate Action is seeking an organized individual to fill the role of the **_Operations Coordinator_**. The **_Operations Coordinator_** will **_support and assist with operational and human resources duties including coordination of staff and administrative and logístical processes._**
The **_Operations Coordinator_** reports to the **_Operations Manager._**
The position requires demonstrated competency in the following areas:
- Interpersonal skills to demonstrate warmth and support staff
- Verbal and written communication, especially developing and maintaining meeting agendas, notes, and action items
- Ability to develop practical online tools and templates for operational use within the staff team
- Ability to analyze written procedures for gaps
- Organizational skills to work with large amounts of information, and coordinate with multiple people for scheduling
- Time management to adhere to deadlines and have an accurate assessment of how long work will take to complete
- Environmental justice and practices of anti-oppression
- Working independently and remotely
**The Operations Coordinator duties are as follows**:
HR and Organizational Development Support (40%)
- Lead on technical onboarding of new staff
- Assist with drafting, updating, and completing personnel and HR policies and procedures
- Assist with identifying and organizing training for staff
- Assist in hiring and performance management processes
- Assist in organizational development and strategic work as required and needed
- Assist in employee development, training and learning
Operations and Information Technology (40%)
- Administer access and use of all technology platforms, including password management, staff coordination and training of platforms, removing/archiving from obsolete platforms, and using or upgrading new and existing platforms
- Collaborate with Communications team on proper management of Communication Platforms, including social media, and Zoom meetings and webinars
- Lead in training and helping staff to use internal platforms and information systems
- Assist and research in building platform solutions to support ICA’s needs, policies and processes
- Assist in assessing issues, troubleshoot, resolve, and/or build solutions in ICA platforms and systems
- Assist on developing intertwining work planning and reporting processes and templates for the whole team
Team Support (20%)
- Review collaboration requests, monitor development inbox and general inquiry (info) inbox for important inquiries
- Logistical support to the Operations Manager for arranging travel and event logistics need.
- Support for strategic partnership engagement
- Support in note taking and digital filing
- Provide support to emerging team needs
**Qualifications**
- 2 - 3 years of operational skills or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to support a team
- Post Secondary education an asset
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Computer literate including google programs, excel and other budgetary programs
- Ability to travel
- Member of an Indigenous community and fluency in an Indigenous language an asset
- Having a working computer and strong internet access is essential for this position
**SALARY: $55,000 to $68,000 annual salary depending on qualifications**
