**Line Cook (Pasta Station/Grill/Garde Manger/Pizza/Prep**
**General Description**

As a Line Cook, you can craft your skill and gain experience working in a fast-paced, structured environment. While learning from a great team of cooks, you will hone in on your strong communication skills and consistent momentum to successfully provide guests with a chance to enjoy high quality food in a trendy and casual environment.
Under direction of Chef and/or Sous Chef, works with a crew of Cooks in the preparation of meals for a casual Italian restaurant. Our restaurant offers unique opportunities to grow regardless of where you are in your career. Both our culinary and front of house staff members are made of people who work to make memorable experiences for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities and Requirements**
The following illustrative tasks indicate the level of skill required and the extent of the responsibility involved in this position. They in no way limit the incumbent to the tasks indicated.
Flexibility of the employee to perform a wide variety of functions is necessary in successfully fulfilling the requirements of this position.
a) cooks food in accordance with established recipes and menus;
b) prepares vegetables, meats, fish for cooking;
c) sets out food in appropriate containers to be served, and garnishes;
d) uphold cleanliness of workstation
e) supports in all areas in the kitchen
f) sufficient knowledge and confidence in managing their station during service in the absence of the Head Chef
g) maintains the quality of each dish while ensuring a speedy output
h) Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
i) receives and stores food/kitchen supplies; checks receiving slips
j) energetic and positive
k) able to work both independently and as part of a team
l) stands in, as directed, for the Head Chef, particularly during evening or weekend hours; leads, directs, trains and works with all Food Service staff; and
m) other related duties as required.
**Minimum Requirements for Selection**
Experience: Two (2) years of cooking experience in a high volume full service restaurant, preference Italian cuisine but not necessary.
Other: Physical ability to perform required duties, ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written), tact in dealing with people. Successful completion of food safety training.
**Schedule**: Full-Time and Part Time
**Pay Scale**:$17/hr --Job Rate: $23/hr
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
**Salary**: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule:
