The Strength and Conditioning Specialist works directly with the Director of Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation and the EE Football Club Sports Medicine staff to develop and implement strength and conditioning workouts based on both team and individual needs. The strength and conditioning specialist will work with the entire team during training sessions as well as with individual athletes on an as-needed basis. The role will be year-round (12 months) and an emphasis will be placed on ensuring proper off-season training programming (in person and online), in-season maintenance programming, and ensuring that sport-specific return to play strength and conditioning is provided to the athletes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert instruction in the use of weights and conditioning equipment
- Be able to tailor different programs based on the needs of each individual athlete.
- Be proficient in the use of athlete monitoring equipment such as Catapult and VALD ForceDecks systems.
- Work on improving speed, agility, quickness, flexibility and cardiovascular stamina.
- Assist and collaborate with the Sports Medicine team on return to play and rehabilitation programs for athletes who have been injured.
- Assist and collaborate with the Sports Medicine team on the implementation of injury prevention strategies.
- Provide educational resources on nutrition and supplements.
- Previous experience as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a professional football/sports team is an asset.

**Knowledge/Skills/Attributes**:
The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator must hold the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
