**Commercial Technical Assistant**

W.H. Scrivens & Sons Limited, a thriving and well-established independent insurance brokerage, is expanding its team in the Ottawa office and is currently seeking a Commercial Technical Assistant to join our ranks.

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Technical Assistant to contribute to the administrative services of our well-established book of business and become an integral part of our dynamic team. This role involves close collaboration with our Account Managers, Account Executives, and our valued commercial clients. Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills are paramount for success in this position, particularly given the diverse needs of our longstanding and multi-line clients within the brokerage. **The principal responsibilities and duties of this position are**:

- Assist with client service requests for established book of business
- Prepare proposals as required by Account Executives, clients or Account Managers
- Prepare submissions to the insurance companies
- Prepare certificates of insurance and bonds
- Handle claims reporting, including following up with clients and adjusters
- Invoice endorsements and renewals. Prepare letters as required with each endorsement or renewal
- Maintain professional relationships with insurer underwriters
- Continuing education (CAIB, CRM)
- Hybrid Position ( 3 days in office 2 days from home)

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- RIBO license required
- Experience with EPIC would be an asset
- Minimum 2 years of Insurance experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Great technical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
