**About the role**

**We’re looking for an Underwriter I or II, Commercial Lines Auto, to join our growing team**

**What you'll do here**:

- ** Participate In broker visits, Insurance Industry functions and marketing events in support of broker relationship development.**:

- ** Use negotiating skills to maintain healthy relationships within and outside the company.**:

- ** Make recommendations to improve the department processes and increase efficiency.**:

- ** Analyze requests for quotes and recommend innovative solutions**:

- ** Focus on building relationships while underwriting and rating policies**:

- ** Provides technical advice, recommendations, and mentoring to team members**:

- ** Assess, evaluate and negotiate on moderate to complex risks.**:
***What you bring to the table**:

- ** College Diploma or University Degree preferred**:

- ** Minimum 2 years of Underwriting experience**:

- ** Commercial Auto Underwriting or Property & Casualty would be a considered a strong asset.**:

- ** Able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with brokers and colleagues.**:

- ** Sales-focused and demonstrated confidence when** **negotiating** **and communicating with brokers.**:

- ** Strong** **analytical skills** **and** **attention to detail**.**:

- ** Self-driven** **and able to work well under pressure to** **meet tight deadlines**.**:

- ** Solution seeker** **and able to make recommendations to increase work** **efficiency**.**:

- ** Sound knowledge of** **Microsoft Office products** **and capable of navigating through multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.**:

- ** Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in progress or completed is an asset**:

- ** No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.**:
