The Opportunity
**As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at MIC, you**:
- work with our Radiologists each day, reviewing cases, collaborating, and learning.
- are part of a team that supports and cultivates camaraderie by sharing ideas, discussing cases, and supporting workload
- additional training opportunities in Ultrasound specialties such as Vascular, MSK, Nuchals, Breast imaging and assisting with biopsies. Also, future opportunities in leadership.
- work with up-to-date equipment that supports Sonographers health and ergonomics
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform high quality, timely ultrasound exams in obstetrics, abdomen, pelvis, small parts, echo, vascular, breast
- Provide exceptional patient care
- Ensure patient information and relevant history is accurate and complete
- Complete worksheets accurately to share with Radiologist
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and time management skills
- Critical thinking, asks questions and is solution oriented
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all patients and employees
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
- Work well within a team and individually
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Graduate from accredited Sonographer Program
- Active credentialed Member of Sonography Canada
