Job Summary

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Professional to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate services to our patients and referring physicians.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare, perform, report, and record a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures, prioritizing patient welfare and comfort.
  • Report unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist.
  • Operate and maintain digital equipment, reporting any issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment, minimizing patient discomfort.
  • Responsible for the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and office duties.
  • Instruct patients on examinations as requested.
  • Assist in the instruction of new staff members and students.
  • Maintain quality control in procedure performance.
  • Assist Radiologists or fellow staff members as required.
  • Notify supervisors of equipment or supply problems.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Clinical competency in medical radiography.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of technical parameters for breast imaging.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team support and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and self-directed.
  • Reliability, dependability, and cooperation.

Qualifications

  • MRT(R) Designation in good standing CAMRT/ACMDTT.
  • Mammography experience an asset.
  • CPR Standard First aid certificate an asset.
