Toronto, Canada The Cigna Group Full time

Reporting to the NIHB Claims Supervisor, the Clerical Clerk is responsible for performing day to day clerical duties with in the Clerical department. This includes opening, sorting mail, printing of faxes and scanning and filing of claim forms. Answering delivery door from couriers on a daily basis. Executing assigned daily tasks as priorities shift. Interact with internal departments to deliver a high level of customer service/satisfaction. This job directly contributes to building a high-performance culture and maximizing the team’s impact.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Open, sort, batch and scan claims by benefit into bundles of 25 or 50 on a daily basis
- Manage claim returns - print labels and return letters for mail out
- Log claim returns on a daily basis
- Pull claim adjustments as requested by Call Centre
- Pull Claims for Auditor using system generated report provided
- Filing of processor claims
- Answering delivery door on a daily basis
- Identifies efficiencies and process improvements
- Ensure service standards and quality targets are met by monitoring and participating in team activities
- Support the management of Vendors-Canada Post, Superior Courier, Iron Mountain, Neopost Canada
- Order office supplies
- Manage and troubleshoot office equipment -Fax Machine, Printer, Neopost
- Support internal and external mail services - Purolator requests, inter-office mail
- Assist with facility issues and concerns
- On-going collaboration with all departments-managers, supervisors, seniors and staff

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years’ experience in a clerical/administrative position
- College degree or High school diploma/GED required
- Excellent office and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
- Able to take direction well and work with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated track record of reliability and dependability
- Demonstrated team player
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proven time and resource management skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
