**Additional Information**:
The Finance Business System Administrator at CBE is responsible for administering the Hyperion Planning System as well as maintaining all of CBE’s Enterprise Financial Systems, which include Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS), Data Relationship Management (DRM), Oracle Hyperion, and SmartView and Hubble reporting tools.

In addition to Hyperion administration, major responsibilities include supporting all of CBE’s financial systems’ implementations, enhancements and upgrades; providing end-user training, performing periodic reviews of user access; providing tier 2 support and guidance to CBE Help Desk staff, Technology Support staff, and Finance staff regarding system-related issues; directing and prioritizing all internal financial functional and reporting needs; and liaising with Finance and IT staff to fulfill operational and functional requirements.

We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in Essbase programing as well as in designing and developing Hyperion forms, business rules, and calculation scripts. Advanced Excel skills including PivotTable, Power Query and VBA programming are also required in this role.“

**Position Description**:
**Purpose**:
This position’s primary purpose is to administer the Hyperion management system as well as analyse financial and staffing cost data for budgeting, reporting and forecasting purposes. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data contained within the system as well as continual enhancement and development of the system to support business needs, regular administrator duties as they relate to budget, forecasting and reporting operations and maintenance of reliable integration with other CBE information systems. This job is also responsible for providing support to Hyperion users.

**Accountability**:
This position is accountable for ensuring accurate data and functioning of the system as well as the reliable, timely and accurate operation of the Hyperion system to meet CBE budget, forecasting and reporting needs. This job is accountable for creating and analysing various scenarios that impact the CBE budget including costing related to collective agreement negotiations. This job is accountable and responsible for maintaining a strict level of confidentiality relative to budget matters.

- Develop reports, implement dashboard solutions and coordinate projects around the platform.
- Support Hyperion system implementations, enhancements and upgrades.
- Standardize data processes to support operational and strategic decision making.
- Identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues.
- Develop Hyperion forms, business rules, and calculation scripts.
- Create and augment Essbase cubes.
- Develop dynamic reports using Hyperion Reporting tools that present results based on metadata rather than hardcoding.

**Business Support & Analysis**
- Run scenarios and financial impacts in support of collective bargaining and budgeting.
- Oversee the establishment of staffing budgets including loading, analyzing and executing What If scenarios.
- Document detailed business requirements work flows.
- Gain approval of business requirements from the key stakeholders.
- Develop, test and implement solutions to meet business requirements.
- Create operational support documentation and user guides.
- Translate project objectives and high level requirements into detailed system requirements and/or use cases.
- Work closely with budget and reporting staff to ensure Hyperion is providing required reports and analysis.
- Maintains a strong understanding of CBE reporting processes and requirements (both internally and externally imposed).

**Project Management**
- Support major system changes using a project-oriented process and provide regular status reports.
- Participate in and/or lead project activities, as required.

**Support**
- Support and perform monthly, quarterly and annual tasks for Hyperion planning and reporting.
- Create, format and deliver ad-hoc reports/queries to operational users and/or finance and accounting controllers.
- Create formal system change requests and facilitate delivery of all production system updates through the change management process.
- Follow set system processes, policies and guidelines.
- Document administrative processes.
- Performs other related responsibilities as assigned to meet the purpose and accountabilities of the role.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
- Completion of a university degree in a business-related or information technology discipline.
- Experience with upgrading Hyperion platforms/modules through different versions.
