Anticipated Shift: Days (Occasional evenings, and weekends may be required.)

Daily Hours Worked: 7.50
- **About Us**: SABE Peace Walkers exists as a relationship-based de-escalation team whose intentions and purpose are grounded in the traditional 7 sacred teachings. Our aim is to help build relationships while meeting individuals where they are at, in hopes of mitigating the potential for emergency/crisis situations. In doing so, we can effectively protect the people, the staff, and the property while upholding the dignity and honor of everyone collectively. Reinforced by Indigenous cultural principles, lived life experience, and modified peacekeeping training, it is our goal to sustain honest virtues in hopes of addressing some of the traumatic experiences that marginalized relatives have faced.
- **Job Overview**: The Human Resource Manager goal is to develop, implement and champion the HR function within a highly vibrant and growing organization. You will have oversight and be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources function and the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, payroll, and programs. This position is responsible for initiating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture emphasizing the quality of assistance to the vulnerable population of Winnipeg. This role should appeal to someone who is looking to continue to develop their career in Human Resources and are passionate about training, policy writing, on-boarding, payroll, developing, & promoting positive work culture.
- **Key Highlights of Position**:

- Staff payroll using Ibex Pay System.
- Develop, review, and implement initiatives as they relate to performance & compensation management, recruitment, on-boarding, and health & safety.
- Develops, coordinates, and communicates clear and concise Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure consistent and equitable management practices, which meet or exceed all legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Provides guidance and support to the leadership team in all areas including policy interpretation, legislative compliance, performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the new hire orientations.
- Review and optimize company policies as they relate to Human Resources.
- Promote employee engagement through wellness, company events, team-building programs, and other employee-focused initiatives.
- **Qualifications**:

- The ideal Human Resource Specialist will be resourceful and have 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably for a company in the social services field.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Background in training and development, performance management, recruitment and succession planning, compensation, benefits, and change management.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Strong organizational & communication skills are a must.
- You will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience in the social services environment is a benefit, but not a requirement.
- A valid Manitoba driver’s license and reliable vehicle is a requirement for this position.
- Knowledge of Ibex payroll system is considered an asset.
- **Locations**:

- Sabes Peace Walkers work out of 190 Disraeli, Osborne Village, Thunderbird House, and Siloam Mission (Other locations are expected to arise as Sabes continue to grow)

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Work Location: One location
