Patient Care Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized individual with impeccable communication skills to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient patient information management. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
**Duties**:
- Interact with patients over the phone, obtain required informationand respond to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR), including patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Assist with billing and coding processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
This position offers competitive compensation based on experience.
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
