- The opportunity
- As the Consultant for regulatory compliance initiatives and privacy incidents within the Operations Risk and Controls Team you will act as a liaison between compliance and operations teams to assess the impact of regulatory changes on the business. You will provide a detailed understanding of the scope of work required to become compliant and track action items to closure.- You will also be responsible for the daily review of privacy incidents. Your responsibility will be to log, ensure containment and analyze the cause of incidents. You will also make control enhancement recommendations to the business. You will be responsible for providing monthly reporting and trend analysis of incidents. You will support privacy office initiatives when required.**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain knowledge of evolving legislation and regulatory requirements impacting the business lines working closely with compliance partners in Canadian segment-
- Log privacy incidents in a timely manner that aligns with team targets-
- Identify and collaborate with key business unit stakeholders to assess gaps in current processes due to new legislative requirements and privacy incidents-
- Provide key advice and support to the business, taking a risk-based approach to addressing identified impacts-
- Co-ordinate with business partners to socialize the gaps and mitigation required including preparing relevant reporting to track initiative and incident status-
- Support various initiatives and ad-hoc recommendation requests-
- Develop processes and procedures to aid in the advancement of this programHow will you create impact?
- This position will require you to develop understanding of business area functions as relates to compliance with legislative changes and privacy practices. You will ensure appropriate steps are taken to remain compliant with complex legislative changes and remediate the impact of privacy incidents.

What we are looking for- Degree in Information Sciences, Business or Management or relevant work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of governmental legislation
- Solid understanding of operational risk principles
- Superior PC skills including Excel and Word; technical literacy. Power BI an asset
- High attention to detail and accuracy; ability to develop administrative procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders-
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven self-starter who must be flexible when working with changing deliverables
- Excellent organizational skills; organizational and time management skills
