**Industrial Sales & Business Development Representative**
Our client has been helping their customers with their industrial rubber parts needs and components for over 50 years. They serve a diverse range of industries - agriculture, defense, mass transit, construction etc., and sell into OEMs. This is possible through a supportive and helpful team. Whether it's with a standard rubber part or a custom piece, they care about the success of their product in every customer's business.
The business is expanding and they are looking to add an Account Manager to the team in their Burlington office. The AM will be responsible for maintaining customer relations with existing clients and growing business with new clients. This role has no specific territory boundary - More of an account-based position.
**Your opportunity**
- Respond to customer requests, leads, pricing requests, quotes submission, expediting and logistics options when necessary
- Prepares quotes, sales contracts and presentations for customers
- Participate in lead generation strategies, such identify business prospects, improving processes and creating a list of potential customers for follow-up
- Proactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction and help develop ideas to successfully market our products.
- Act as a problem solver when situations arise that need attention. One of our strengths is solving problems when they arise.

- You understand how to utilize resources to contact customers and gauge interest in obtaining products and services offered by the company
- You identify, recommend, and help deliver on customer needs in a timely fashion
- You proactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction, and help develop ideas successfully to market our products
- You uphold standards of self-motivation, time management, and productivity
- You share in a productive, friendly, professional, and integrity-driven work environment by maintaining a positive demeanour and objective approach to customers
**Your required job skills and qualifications**
- Post-Secondary education, preference will be given to Sales\Marketing\Technical disciplines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy, Proficient in MS office suite and CRM Systems
- Ability to persuade and influence others
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Knowledge of account management and sales techniques
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
**Your preferred experience and education**
- You have 2 years + of experience in sales and service
- Ideally have a background in Industrial Sales
- Have a “Hunter” mentality and is familiar with prospecting and lead generation activities
- Is comfortable working from an office in both an Inside Technical Sales role and on the road.
- Understands Account Management and project-based business development
- You have gained similar work experience in industrial product or industrial distribution work environment
- You are familiar with order entry, quoting, inventory and material management
- Skills in negotiation, upselling, and other sales tactics are ideal
- You have familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
**What you can expect**:
- This is an in-office position based in Burlington, Ontario - 3 days in office 2 days on the road once fully trained
