The Research Quality Assurance Advisor reports to the Lawson Manager, Quality Assurance and Education and is responsible for conducting quality assurance reviews and investigations, preparing and delivering a comprehensive clinical research education program and developing a suite of documentation to support compliance (i.e. standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and templates in support of clinical research conduct). This role acts as a resource to Lawson administrative staff on compliance framework issues and provides excellent service to our research community by responding promptly and consistently to queries. The Research Quality Assurance Advisor remains current on clinical research environment and regulatory changes to adapt Lawson’s quality management system for clinical research.
**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week
**Rate of Pay**: $31.48 per hour to $39.35 per hour
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate degree in Science or Health related field
- SoCRA OR ACRP certification preferred
- Knowledge of legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines relevant to clinical research (Proficient)
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of clinical research conduct (Proficient)
- Experience auditing clinical research for compliance and quality assurance (Proficient)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in program development, evaluation and education
- Interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills (Proficient)
- Communication skills - verbal and written (Proficient)
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and corporate productivity tools
- Time management; attention to detail and organizational skills (Proficient)
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and integrity (Proficient)
- Consensus building, conflict resolution, presentation and facilitation skills (Proficient)
Immunization Requirements:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
