The successful applicant will be part of Dr. Ana Suller Marti’s research lab: sullermartilab.ca. The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible for carrying out research functions in collaboration with Dr. Suller Marti and her research team. In a clinical lab setting, the incumbent will assist with maintaining research documentation, recruiting, obtaining informed consent and setting up and conducting tests on study participants in adherence with prescribed procedures (e.g., distribution of questionnaires, scheduling/attending diagnostic testing, etc.), as well as data collection, entry, and verification. Furthermore, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining records, and analyzing, summarizing, and compiling results for dissemination. The incumbent will assist Dr. Suller Marti with academic activities such as literature reviews, manuscript preparations, slide presentations, and scientific posters. The RA incumbent is expected to contribute to multiple research projects as required.

**Rate of Pay**: To commensurate with experience
**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week
**Duration**: One year, with possibility of renewal

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field
- Minimum of 1-year recent related experience in a similar role; preferably in a research environment
- Experience with Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is an asset
- Experience with data analysis (mainly descriptive analyses) and data entry is required
- Superior oral and written communication skills in English
- Intellectually curious, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and creative
- Excellent relationship-building skills complemented by the proven ability to work with others, especially across team boundaries and functions
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel) is required
- Ability to meet frequent deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
