The Department of Children's Services leads child care & intervention, early childhood development, foster & kinship care, adoption, and improvements for children & youth.

Workforce Development ensures that the appropriate training, learning and development opportunities are provided to meet the learning needs of Ministry employees, DFNA employees, and Caregivers.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Are you a highly organized individual who can provide a broad spectrum of support in the areas of coordination, design and delivery of learning and development on behalf of Children and Family Services:
The Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Business Supports division is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to support two Learning Management Systems (LMS) used by Children and Families Services. The position entails direct day to day involvement with the ministry’s LMS (Moodle/LEO) as well as support with the LMS system used by caregivers (PRIDE).

This position also works closely with WFD Learning and Development consultants and other stakeholders using these systems.

As part of a team this position is responsible for the following activities:

- Ongoing support and functional management of the Ministry’s two learning management systems that support Child Intervention staff and caregiver training (approximately 7500 users).
- Responsible for the coordination, management and tier one support of the Children and Family Services Learning Management System (Moodle).
- Assists with the design, implementation and enhancements of LMS and virtual training delivery projects.
- Supporting the design and development of training modules and events through coordination with Learning and Development Consultants, ensuring compliance with GOA and accreditation standards.
- Create mandatory training memos/directives that allow clear reporting on compliance with mandatory training.
- Oversee projects under the direct supervision and guidance of Senior Learning and Development Consultants.
- Work collaboratively with cross ministry, internal business and program areas partners to facilitate communication, stakeholder meetings and working groups.
- Support delivery of training, including technical support for blended learning requirements.
- Facilitate the completion of annual reports on training delivered by Workforce Development.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Recruitment Standard: University graduation in a related field. Experience working with teams, projects, coordination, as well as competent with computer and technical skills.

Equivalency: Minimum Recruitment Standard: University graduation in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Preferred Assets**:

- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, preferably related to the field of Education.
- Experience coordinating large scale programs, events, and etc
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), course scheduling, and registration processes and support LMS users who have differing levels of skill, use and understanding.
- Working technical knowledge of multiple virtual platforms (including but not limited to: MS TEAMS, Zoom) and devices used for access (including but not limited to: computers, laptops, tablets, phones).
- Practical knowledge of web content management systems and internet technologies.
- Knowledge of the organization and understanding of current issues faced by the Children & Family Servies Ministry; knowledge of the key program areas supported by Workforce Development.
- Ability to organize and prioritize short-term and long-term projects; meet multiple or changing deadlines, and adapt to lessons learned or changing priorities when needed.
- Research skills **(Qualitative research methodology and Quantitative research methodology)**.
