We are hiring one full-time temporary (for up to 11 months) Coordinator, Learning & Development, position working out of the Edmonton, AB (Aurum location).
As the Coordinator, Learning & Development you are accountable for all the training administrative functions within the Water Services Learning & Development team in order to meet all technical training requirements. This includes updating and subscribing employees to training based on HSE and operational requirements, tracking of records, creating certificates for courses, programs and sessions, managing master development and training schedule documents while maintaining a positive professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, this position is responsible to work with external vendors, manage Learning Management System records and ensure training development and materials are accurate, current and easy to find. The Coordinator will ensure that administrative systems, processes and deliverables meet or exceed the needs of the Learning & Development team and business unit clients.
What you’d be responsible for
- Training Management - Support supervisors with updating and subscribing employees to training based on HSE and Operational requirements. Enter information into the Learning Management System (LMS). Develop, manage and run reports as required. Create and maintain course and development calendars in LMS and SharePoint. Verify data in LMS and communicate information on a regular basis to supervisors and managers.
- Records Management - Understand LMS processes and perform related administrative functions. This includes but is not limited to creating certificates, courses, offerings, classes and sessions; making equivalencies; creating learner groups; verifying LMS data for accuracy with certifications and dates; uploading e-learning quizzes and training materials as prescribed.
- LMS Management - Act as an expert within EPCOR for data storage and retrieval within the LMS and act as the Water Services Learning & Development team’s expert in any cross-functional groups related to LMS system updates, enhancements and any testing (UAT) requirements.
- Coordinate training with Business units - Manage master development and training schedule documents. Schedule dates with internal and external vendors, coordinate with supervisors, business units and other stakeholders and support enrolment of employees into training, send out course confirmations, enter training results into LMS and pay vendors as required.
- Manage training facilities, including material availability and supply availability. Coordinate with appropriate groups.
- SharePoint Administration - Design, create and maintain SharePoint webpages. Create records in SharePoint, maintain information and links. Upload eLearning training. Act as a SharePoint expert within Learning & Development.
- Process Development - Administer processes, procedures, templates, standards, branding guidelines, and best practices that align with department and corporate policies that support learning and development.
- Event Coordination and Planning - Assist with the planning and organizing of events and conferences for stakeholders, including but not limited to researching and booking event venues, vendors, and speakers; managing registrations; updating event websites; and working with communications on event promotion.
- Document Templating and Proofreading - Transcribe technical and training documentation into standard templates, adhering to Learning & Development style guides. Proofread documentation to identify and correct mistakes, including misspellings, typos, grammatical errors, formatting or style errors, etc.
- Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics. Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients, capturing and delivering critical knowledge/information.
- Client Support - Answer questions about training, maintain a positive working relationship with EPCOR employees and external vendors/clients, and assist with problem solving on a regular basis.
- Vendor Management support - Manage contract administrative requirements with vendors and assist when required to ensure a high level of quality programming, where costs and performance are aligned with contract expectations, and contracts contain all pertinent information related to managing service providers in a training capacity. Assist with researching and identifying appropriate vendors for training delivery.
- Assist with research practices and standards in support of the technical training function and manage aspects of projects (as assigned) by the Learning & Development team.
- Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.
- Other accountabilities as assigned.
