**Position Summary**
SvN Architects + Planners is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to be responsible for the stewardship and management of SvN’s brand in the digital arena with a focus on supporting the firm’s Growth Strategy and growing our digital audience across all interactive platforms.
SvN is a dynamic, multidisciplinary, culture-driven practice comprised of a diverse team of architects, urban planners, urban designers and landscape architects. Since our inception over 40 years ago, we continue to shape the built environment in regions, cities and towns across Canada and worldwide. We have revitalized industrial waterfronts, developed innovative and affordable housing projects, designed resilient neighbourhoods, and promoted rural and urban economic development. Due to significant expansion since 2020, we are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Manager (DMM) to steward and manage the SvN’s brand in the digital arena in alignment with the firm’s Growth and Business Development objectives.
SvN is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative DMM to oversee the creation and distribution of compelling, high-impact digital content. This strategic communications role is a first for the firm, and will function to align marketing and communications objectives to the firm’s business and revenue goals.
The DMM will enhance public perception of the SvN brand by ensuring excellence in communication on the firm’s website, microsites, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn), e-newsletters, and other multimedia platforms.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the DMM will balance “big picture” strategic thinking with detailed planning, coordination, and execution—ensuring the firm’s digital content strategy supports the firm’s overall business plan on both a macro and micro level.
Working in collaboration with SvN’s “Head of Narrative” and with the support of external agency partners, the DMM is also responsible for managing highly complex projects, keeping all moving parts, players, and deliverables organized and on track for timely, successful, on-budget completion.
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Utilize existing marketing strategy material (e.g. brand personas, visual brand guidelines) as well as to-be-developed verbal identity toolkit and tone-of-voice guidelines (pending development) to develop a strategy for SvN’s digital platforms with a focus on growing the audience and increasing engagement across all channels;
- Ensure excellence in digital design, content, and user experience across the firm’s global digital content platforms, including (but not limited to) website, social media, and e-newsletters;
- Lead the creative ideation, build-out, testing, and launch of new digital communication platforms, features, and strategies with a focus on live webinars and events;
- Create and publish digital content for the firm’s various platforms;
- Manage content activities through the creation of a content calendar to provide firm-wide visibility of digital and social initiatives;
- Drive digital innovation across the business through the development of digital proposal formats, and immersive digital content to bring to life the output of SvN’s thought leadership and research teams;
- Track and analyze performance of all digital content platforms, with a particular emphasis on major brand-building or promotional campaigns;
- Identify/understand key performance indicators (KPIs) of all digital projects and track their effectiveness via SWOT analyses;
- Swiftly identify, troubleshoot, and solve bugs/technical issues that arise;
- Liaise with Design Leadership on a regular basis, ensuring high-profile placement of strategically curated design content on the firm’s digital platforms;

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a professional digital content strategist, preferably with a focus on the AEC industry;
- Degree in journalism, communications, marketing communications, or related field;
- Demonstrated passion for, and understanding of, architecture and design. A clear understanding of the business of architecture is strongly preferred;
- Proven experience managing complex CMS platforms, implementing SEO, leveraging Google Analytics, and executing outbound campaigns using MailChimp;
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Wordpress, and UX;
