The salary range is $50k - $73.5k to start depending on experience with purchasing, contract negotiation, and export terms experience. As part of the compensation package for full time permanent employees, we offer benefits (after 3 months) and an RRSP contribution matching plan (after 1 year). Also, there are 2 weeks of vacation that accrue over time served.

Our operations are located at 181 Shearson Cres just behind the ice park on Franklin, in Cambridge. This is in close proximity to the iXpress, 53, 75, & 60 bus routes. At our shop we have additional employee benefits that include a fitness facility on site with showers, and a full kitchen.

**Primary role**:To create a more robust catalogue of suppliers to support the company's success. This will be done through identifying primary and secondary sources for parts, developing relationships with vendors and freight companies, negotiating terms, and expanding our geographic sourcing foot print.

**Secondary role**: To support engineering by finding excellent sources for new products. To be an ambassador of our company to convey success criteria and to develop long-term partnerships. To expand the reach of the company by attending trade shows and developing industry connections.

**Responsibilities and Expected Results**
- Expand our supplier list locally
- Develop new sources of suppliers in key geographies
- Negotiate terms of purchase agreements
- Facilitate transportation arrangements with our Supply Chain Administrator
- Find avenues for material cost reductions
- Facilitate resolutions to vendor quality issues
- Help to further streamline our order & purchasing flow

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Adept with MS Excel
- Experience with purchasing
- Experience with negotiation
- Functional understanding of export terms
- Strong grasp of manufacturing capabilities
- Familiarity with MRPs (MiSys experience is an asset)
- Familiarity with Sage
