Globally, the company focuses on the development, manufacture and commercialization of quality Bimeda-branded products while also being the partner of choice for contract manufacturing and R&D services for prominent companies within the animal health industry.

**Summary**:
Reporting to Materials Manager, the Jr. Buyer will play a crucial role in managing our procurement process by ensuring the site has the right supplies and non-inventory items to support all the supplies needs of the plant. The Jr. Buyer will contribute to the success of Bimeda by working closely with the internal departments at MTC to requisition and procure products from vendors, build, and maintain relationships with vendors, track all purchase orders and ensure orders are delivered and received in a timely manner.

***This is a contract position for 9 months**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Day-to-day communication with managers/supervisors/coordinators from all internal departments of Bimeda MTC.
- Ensure product is requisitioned, approved, purchased and delivered on time.
- Complete order requisition using QAD and coordinate with Buyers to ensure orders are completed.
- Issue purchase requisitions for parts, supplies and equipment to support company operations and send completed purchase requisition to the supplier.
- Liaise with suppliers to acquire pricing, completing requisition and sending completed orders to the supplier.
- Complete requisitions for supplies, including checking items and ensuring the items have been approved.
- Review and prepare all purchasing/stores invoices for payment, and forward to accounts payable for payment.
- Resolve routine problems with suppliers relating to parts, documentation, shipping errors, pricing, and invoicing. Ensure all items from orders are received and follow up for backordered item timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier information, product specifications, and pricing data to support purchasing decisions and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, anticipate material requirements, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Manage blanket and recurring orders for vendors with high consumption SKUs.
- Additional duties as required.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**:

- High school diploma required.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field considered an asset.
- 1 - 2 years experience in Purchasing or related field.
- Professional, interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Positive, responsible and self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Solid organizational and time management skills with strong multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision under pressure and time constraints in a stressful environment
- Logical and critical thinking
- High level of accuracy and detail with error-free orders
