Job Purpose:

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of all purchase supplies for Vision.

We are recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator with excellent communication and team-working skills. You need to have attention to detail and have a driven nature. You will be purchasing all supplies for Vision within the building function.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

To purchase all supplies for the business.

Purchase orders will need to be raised using Xero.

Communicating with the Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure the delivery of supplies and organising delivery to the various sites.

Arranging the truck route to ensure goods are collected and delivered to the correct sites or office.

The following skills will be developed:

Learning how to run a purchasing department from raising purchase orders through to buying and sending the goods onto site.

You will be trained up by a Project Manager in the office and will have ongoing support from the Office Manager to ensure they are receiving the training they require.

This is a varied and interesting role, and you will be involved in all aspects of the purchasing operations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the building trade.

Skills & Experience:

You will ideally have your own car and driving licence. There are public transport links however these are not reliable.

You will be enthusiastic about joining a well-established company and be eager to develop your knowledge within purchasing.

Attention to detail needs to be exceptional as you’ll have a lot of involvement with the reporting and profession of orders, ensuring their timely delivery onto various sites.

Knowledge of the building trade would be beneficial.

IT literate with an excellent telephone manner and experience of using Xero (desirable).

Essential Qualifications:

GCSE C or above for Maths and English.

Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and good time management skills.
