Ottawa, Canada The Ottawa Hospital Emergency Physicians Associates Full time

The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is a dynamic, innovative, and growing department of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. The Ottawa Hospital Emergency Physicians Associates has a team of 19 administrative staff, over 65 residents and fellows, and ~100 faculty members. We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and organized team player to join our group as a Resident Scheduling Coordinator.

In this role, you will work with postgraduate learners, Program Directors, DEM physicians, your Coordinator peers and several internal and external stakeholders to help the DEM achieve its vision of world-class emergency medicine and its mission to provide outstanding compassionate emergency care through practice-changing research and innovative medical education. You will use cutting edge scheduling software to schedule medical residents in a 24-hr, two-campus academic Emergency Department

**POSITION DETAILS**
- Permanent part-time, Monday-Friday.
- Hybrid working model (mixture of working from home and from the office). Office location is at the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital.
- Salary commensurate with experience. We have an excellent benefits package including HOOPP (pension plan).
- The Scheduler role requires a highly organized “people person” who likes to be busy, with key responsibilities including:

- Data entry into an electronic scheduling system;
- Processing of “leave/time-off” requests within a defined rule set;
- Scheduling within scheduling rules / parameters;
- Liaising with other schedulers from other medical departments;

**Required Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related position.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 suite of apps.
- Experience making schedules in a complex environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa’s systems and tools (i.e. One45).
- Proficiency (oral and written) in both English and French.
- Experience working with SharePoint.
- Experience working with electronic scheduling software.

**Salary**: $28.22-$38.46 per hour
