Job Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
- Answers phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel, schedules appointments, signs for incoming packages, and assists clients and other visitors.
- Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Works with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure office equipment is in good working order and office supplies are always on hand.
- Works closely with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed.
- Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
- Performs administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, or printing material for staff members
- Maintains physical and digital filing systems.
- Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.
- Presents a positive and professional image for the organization.
- Drafts and edits letters and other documents.
- Uses word processing software to create and edit documents.

- Strong organizational skills in order to maintain files and file important documents effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with various team members
- Excellent typing skills
- Basic accounting skills or help with processing payments from clients
- Interpersonal skills for communication with clients, Lawyers, other legal support staff, and other offices or vendors
- Clear and concise written skills to ensure efficient and accurate communication
- Strong values of honesty, transparency, and ethics
- Attention to detail for reviewing important documentation
- Legal knowledge and understanding
- Proficiency with computer software like the Microsoft Office suite
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills, professional and courteous demeanor, excellent office and phone etiquette, and the ability to diffuse tense situations
- Ability to work well under pressure and navigate multiple deadlines
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)

- legal assistant: 1 year (preferred)
