Data Analyst-clinical Business Operations

Overview:
The Data Analyst collaborates with key business partners to understand their information needs and delivers high-quality, high-performing, and intuitive data and reporting solutions. Additionally, this role supports, scales, and optimizes our BI, Analytics, and reporting services.

**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborates with business units and stakeholders to identify reporting needs, analyze current procedures, explore opportunities, reduce redundancies, and ensure data gathering and reporting processes support corporate strategies and business objectives
- Synthesizes and analyzes business domain data, interpreting information, participating in the development of recommendations for improvements in a continuous agile partnership, and performing tasks such as assisting in selecting appropriate outcome measures and furthering understanding of the business domain and outcome metrics
- Ability to collect, analyze and communicate data in a way easily understood by end users
- Provides detailed analysis, advice, insight, and interpretation from complex data across multiple sources
- Develops and seeks continuous improvement to the performance reporting processes, including report automation and the coordination of reporting inputs, analyses, and distributions
- Provides quality assurance and a value-added review of reporting inputs to promote high standards for quality and insight.
- Ensures the analytics solutions are aligned with the Data Team production standards and guidelines, such as data definitions and UI/UX visualizations
- Communicating the final solution to the business and coordinating the implementation and user training of the solution in the production environment
- Work collaboratively with Data Team colleagues to analyze and optimize performance in all areas of the business intelligence operation
- Manage multiple priorities, assess, and adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Keep our data separated and secure and adherent to regulatory and compliance obligations
- Work with HIPAA Expert Determination resource to ensure data is HIPAA-compliant
Qualifications:
**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a complex, technical environment
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who can think outside the box and possess the mental agility to quickly make an impact within your role. You will be able to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative, have the ability to learn fast, and work effectively within the team environment.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in decision support, data analysis, performance reporting, and/or specialty healthcare management / clinical business operations
- Proficient with data visualization and dashboarding tools (Power BI preferred) and familiarity with applicable programming languages (R, Python)
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (T-SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Working knowledge of data architecture for data warehousing, reporting, and analytics, primarily with Microsoft Azure data solutions
- Working knowledge with ETL and enterprise analytics tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Power BI Report Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
- Working knowledge of DevOps methodologies and practices such as CICD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, focus on detail, set priorities, and work independently
- Above average documentation skills, with requisite attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers to resolve issues and implement business intelligence solutions that meet business needs
- Ability to communicate/present to senior-level stakeholders
