**Who we are**:
ElderCare Edmonton Society for Adult Day Programs is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides recreational adult day programs for persons living in the community. Our programs are designed to improve the lives of seniors affected by social isolation, reduced cognitive function, and reduced mobility. We are dedicated to ensuring that seniors and their caregivers are supported in our communities and within Alberta’s healthcare system.

**Position Description**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program & Operations Manager position is a hybrid position that is responsible for the supervision of one program site and support for the general operations of the organization. As a Program Manager, you will provide leadership to a team of passionate Program Facilitators and support day-to-day program operations. As an Operations Manager, you will support the small ElderCare administrative team by collaborating on process improvement opportunities and championing ElderCare as a leader in adult day programming. Responsibilities for these two role aspects include:
Program Manager (80%)
- Staff supervision, training, and performance management (approx. 5 direct reports).
- Client Assessments and Care Planning. (With up to 20 clients attending per day, there can be up to 50 clients who attend programs.)
- Foster genuine relationships with clients and staff promoting dignity, personal interests, and identities and empower clients to create meaningful days and achieve their goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members, individuals, and families.
- Reporting for program statistics and outcomes.
- Ensuring the program site follows all policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with client families, Home Care Case Managers, and other client advocates.
- Plan, implement, document, and evaluate programs based on individual and group needs, to include physical, emotional, cognitive, social, emotional and leisure programs.
- Accountability for the assigned Program budget and expenses.

Operations Manager (20%)
- Identify opportunities in Program operations to ensure that programs, policies, and processes meet high quality standards in alignment with our Alberta Health Services contracts to reduce organizational risk, improve participant and caregiver outcomes, and increase organizational capacity.
- In collaboration with the ED and Program Managers, lead implementation plans to operationalize identified opportunities.
- Support organizational activities, including but not limited to student management, event planning, and communications.
- Registration with a health profession regulated by self-governing regulatory colleges under the Health Professions Act (HPA).
- Knowledge of geriatric conditions, community resources, and supporting agencies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and effectively use empathy.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible, comfortable working independently and collaborating as part of a team.
- Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check (required).
- Clean class 5 driver’s license, use of own vehicle, and 2-million liability auto insurance (required).
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time to provide program support (required).
- Experience working in a not-for-profit environment.
- Familiarity with CCHSS, HIA, FOIPA, IP&C, Alberta Health Services Food Safety requirements, and the AHS Reportable Incident Process
- Current standard First Aid/ Level C CPR

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
