**Salary/Benefits**:
Excluded position: Grid 11, $89,455.00 - $119,273.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications as per NLC's Excluded Salary Scale. An excellent benefit package is offered, including extended health and dental benefits. Annual vacation is pro-rated and front-loaded, based on 210 hours/FTE, as well as time off paid for the period between Christmas and New Year's Day. Enrolment in the College Pension Plan is mandatory for those in this role, with the standard contributions matched by the employer.
**Description**:
The **IT Infrastructure Manager** is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of NLCs network, servers, databases, and equipment. This includes helping supervise the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems. The **IT Infrastructure Manager** will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and decision makers in other NLC departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost
- effective technology solutions for all aspects for NLC.
In this role, you will be expected to manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, backup systems, data centers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware. You must be able to develop business case justification and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending initiatives and oversee operation related projects and the project portfolios.
Working collaboratively with the CIO, the **IT Infrastructure Manager** will provide input to develop functional policies and procedures, including those for network architecture, standards, purchasing, and service provisioning.

**Qualifications**:
- Required: _
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- Certification in ITIL, COBIT, NIST or other frameworks for IT management and governance.
- Certification in IT networks systems, security, hardware, or other related disciplines.
- 10 years' of experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence with 2 years of experience leadership of an infrastructure team.
- Ability to deliver support within the framework of NLC's service level agreements.
- Understanding of BC Higher Education business environments.
- Knowledge of current IT governance/security protocols and standards, including ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and NIST (National Security of Standards and Technology) frameworks.
- Application support experience with ERP, SIS and LMS systems
- Ability to interpret the applicability of provincial and federal laws/regulations to NLC operations.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and personnel/project management skills.
- Client service oriented with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly manner.
- Budget management ($750,000) and assessment experience.
- Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
- Ability to manage and direct operations during stressful situations within incident protocols.
- Keen attention to detail and proven analytical /problems solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to work effectively in a unionized environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Current, valid driver's license.
