As a Health Safety Environment Coordinator, you'll contribute to our team by:

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the District HSE Manager with the coordination and implementation of HSE systems and initiatives.
  • Managing health, safety, and environment registries databases.
  • Monitoring district health and safety documents.
  • Supporting project-based HSE as needed.
  • Administering reporting of WCB/WSIB claims and coordinating medical appointments.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting reports from PCL's safety management system.
  • Performing general administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of administrative experience, with previous experience in the construction industry considered an asset.
  • Working towards a safety designation.
  • Ability to learn applicable OH&S, environmental legislation, and HSE processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve.
  • Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
