**Role Responsibilities**:

Reporting directly to the Manager, Head-Smashed-ln Buffalo Jump World Heritage Site, the Head of Finance & Visitor Services provides financial administration and supervision of revenue collections for a complex heritage facility with multiple revenue generating business centres. This role operates within a dynamic environment that involves tight deadlines, public engagement, cash transactions, and results-driven programs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Duties**: The Head of Finance & Visitor Services is responsible for the proper accounting, processing, and reconciliation of all financial transactions in conducting the business of HSIBJ World Heritage Site that meet standards, guidelines and policies for financial transactions.
**Visitor Services Duties**: The Head of Finance & Visitor Services is responsible for the provision of certain essential services for visitors to HSIBJ World Heritage Site, including admission services, visitor information, and gift shop services.
**Admissions**:
Supervise all aspects of site admissions operation.
Collect and maintain all visitor statistics on a monthly basis.
Monitor and direct the daily duties and schedules for up to six third-party contracted admission cashier workers.
**Visitor Services**:
Lead and train staff in visitor services delivery
Participate in tourism sector to remain abreast of industry trends
Coordinate collection and reporting of visitor statistics
**Gift Shop**:
Oversee all aspects of the gift shop operation, including training and scheduling, and provide advice to the hiring panel for third party contract workers.
Develops purchasing strategies for gift shop sales, meets with vendors, and directs purchasing of inventory.

**Qualifications**:
One-year certificate in a related field plus two years related experience; or equivalent as described.
**Equivalency**:
Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
Skills and Assets:
- High School Business Designation or College Certificate in General Business with Bookkeeping is an asset.
- Diploma in Business is an asset.
- Experience with computer-based bookkeeping/accounting systems and computer-based till systems.
- Ideally, familiar with the GOA 1GX online integrated management system and NCR Computerized Till Systems.
- Experience in operating POS equipment for electronic sales.
