Sheridan at Canadian College of Trades and Technology (“CCTT”) is a private career college in Fort Erie/ Niagara Region, and it has entered into a Public College-Private Partnership with Sheridan College. CCTT will deliver Sheridan curriculum in various programs in the skilled trades, business, allied healthcare, and community studies to international students who will receive a Sheridan-issued credential upon graduation and be eligible for the Post-Graduate Work Permit.

**ROLE: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Reporting to the Head of the Finance Department, the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for:
**_Accounts Payable_**
- Process vendor invoices from receipt to payment
- Process staff reimbursements from receipt to payment
- Prepare billing for charges to student accounts
- Review, reconcile and record corporate credit cards
- Ensure the School complies with all federal and provincial sales tax regulations
- Assist in the delivery of timely and accurate financial information
- Help with the preparation of month-end accruals, prepaids and allocations
- Assist with interim and year-end audits

**_Accounts Receivable_**
- Support the Finance Team Members including internal student accounts and external users
- Assist with responding to student account queries as needed
- Assist with process documentation, bank reconciliations, and report preparation for review by Head of the Finance Department
- Help maintain student records as needed
- Other duties as assigned

**_Special Projects and Other Responsibilities_**
- Cross-train with members of the Finance Department and provide occasional back-up to team positions as assigned

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-secondary education in Finance
- 3 to 6 years of finance work experience
- Experienced with AP/AR and tax, preferred
- Systems proficiency, with good Microsoft Suite skills particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- written and verbal
- Experience with multiple accounting systems an asset
- Experience with **QuickBooks **required
- Adaptable, flexible, and willing to cross-train
- Detail oriented, analytical, able to approach challenges with innovative solutions
