**Social Butterflies Activities and Learning Ltd.**

At Social Butterflies Activities and Learning, we offer caring autism support services for children, youth, and their families. We approach each child as an individual with their own talents and one-of-a-kind needs, working with families to develop individualized support plans. We are a team of compassionate and qualified Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts, trained Behavioural Consultants, and Behavioural Interventionists dedicated to making a respectful and encouraging environment for our clients to thrive. Our Centre offers a variety of services like one-on-one intervention, group social skills, camps, behaviour consultation services, and more.

**Position Overview**:
Social Butterflies Activities and Learning is seeking a well-organized, enthusiastic individual who has a passion for ensuring a fun, safe and supportive group environment for our clients. The Group Coordinator will report directly to the Social Butterflies Activities & Learning Director.

The Group Coordinator position is responsible for the development, planning, and facilitation of our Summer Camps.

This position may lead to continuing hours in the fall planning and facilitating after school groups, events and one day programs.
- Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:_
- Create, maintain, and implement detailed program itineraries that highlight program objectives and goals for all groups.
- Create and manage program budgets and supply purchase lists.
- Work collaboratively with behavioural consultants to facilitate groups and programs.
- Provide support, direction and feedback where necessary to support staff.
- Provide direct instruction of group itineraries in collaboration with additional staff while creating a fun, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain open and professional communication between participants, guardians, and staff.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, client confidentiality, work safe requirements, and applicable laws.

**Qualifications**:

- Education in the areas of Psychology, Social Work, or Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience
- Hold a valid First Aid Certificate
- Experience planning and implementing group activities
- Valid BC Driver's License with a clean Drivers Abstract and reliable transportation
- Clear Criminal Records Check re: working with vulnerable populations or willingness to obtain
- Professional, positive attitude, and strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Experience or some knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Minimum 1 year’s experience working directly with individuals with ASD

Compensation: To be determined based on qualifications and experience.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kamloops, BC V2B 3X2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location
