**HR ADMIN ASSISTANT**

Reporting to the HRBP, the **HR Admin Assistant **will be responsible for assisting in the execution of HR processes and provide general administrative support to the HR team including recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration and payroll processing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department
- Assist Payroll in timecard approvals, corrections and other adjustments
- Assist in accurate new hire entries in ADP WFN as needed
- Create employees and complete daily and weekly filing as needed
- Onboard new hires and facilitate new hire training
- Update job descriptions and job postings
- Conduct phone interviews and complete background checks
- Manage and update HR trackers to ensure data is accurate
- Generate employee letters including employment offer letters, employment verification letters, promotion letters and more
- Assist in HR projects and initiatives including the annual employee engagement survey, benefits re-enrollment cycles and employee engagement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Job Requirements**:

- Completion or in the process of completing post-secondary education in Human Resources, HR Certificate program, or equivalent
- Previous experience in an office administrative role, customer service or equivalent considered an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively influence and converse with all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of diplomacy and professionalism when handling confidential matters
- Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Self-starter attitude, independent and ability to work in a team dynamic
- Please note that this role will be required to work one weekend, every other weekend due to the payroll cutoff. This will be 2-4 hours of work on Sundays and can be done from home.

**Core Working Hours**:Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm
