**Hours**: Teaching is normally scheduled between 8:00am and 10:00pm, Monday to Friday. In accordance with the Collective Agreement, workload may be up to 44 hours per week.

**Rate of Pay**: $73,079 - $126,689 per year

**Start Rate**: Upon hire, Human Resources will conduct a rate calculation based on completed education and work experience to determine the step within the range as per the Collective Agreement.

The Department of Allied Health requires a Professor for the Cardiovascular Technology Program. Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the incumbent will be able to develop and teach a wide range of courses within the field of Cardiovascular Technology.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- ** **Teaching a variety of courses in the program, Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) as well as in the proposed graduate certificate, Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) as assigned.
- Evaluating student progress and performing academic advising.
- Developing curriculum to align with the current competencies.
- Enhancing educational delivery through use of technology.
- Participating in Program quality assurance activities and Accreditation responsibilities.
- Participating in Program, divisional and College-wide recruitment and marketing activities.
- Participating in Program growth initiatives through the College and community.
- Maintaining a line of communication with CSCT and other professional organizations.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- ** **Cardiovascular Technology Diploma or equivalent.
- An Undergraduate Degree in Health Sciences (BHSc) or Science (BSc) is required. A Graduate Degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of related work experience including areas of cardiac devices or electrophysiology (e.g. clinical setting or industry).
- Ability to teach a variety of courses including: Advanced ECG Interpretation, Exercise Testing, Holter Monitoring, Cardiac Diagnostic & Interventional Techniques, Pharmacology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Anatomy & Physiology, Cardiac Devices and Electrophysiology.
- Proof of active Registration with CSCT.
- Additional certification in advanced specialities (IBHRE, CCDS or CEPS) is required.
- Completion of a Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
- Engagement in ongoing and relevant Professional Development, and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current practice.
- Excellent clinical skills with the ability to multi task and be an effective team player.
- Experience in curriculum development is an asset.
- Current and relevant teaching experience in Post-Secondary Education is an asset.
- Current/relevant teaching in an online environment in Post-Secondary Education is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This would include experience communicating and working effectively with diverse clients and colleagues.
