**Position Overview**:
Playground is currently seeking a fluently bilingual, experienced and well-organized S**_ocial Media Coordinator_** to join our dynamic and growing marketing team** (on-site)**. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, he/she will have strong communication, design and photography skills.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (standard office hours) **will also require availability evenings and weekends for events**_

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Engage and grow the digital fan base by posting daily, monitoring messages, comments, tagged content and branded hashtags on all social media platforms including; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Assist the Marketing Manager with various projects including in-house content creation, copywriting, and administration of user-generated content in both English and French.
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging & creative content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
- Respond to comments, messages, and general inquiries on social media platforms promptly and seek guidance when necessary on sensitive issues.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
- Creating and designing original and on-brand marketing / promotional materials.
- Fostering a sense of community via outreach and collaboration with creators and local businesses.
- Composing regular blog content aligned with our audience’s interests & SEO.
- Effectively promote Playground marketing initiatives via social media to increase engagement and follower count.
- Update and refine social media strategy to support overall communications strategy.
- Gather and analyze social media platform analytic reports to improve the content plan.
- Responsible for providing professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards.
- Supporting team on day-to-day needs.
- Present at all major floor events and promotions, and coordinate to get content for any events which you are unable to be present for (includes evenings, weekends and holidays).
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate events outside of office hours.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Must be fluent in French and English, both verbally and in the written word.
- Social Media Advertising: Understanding of how to effectively execute and manage.
- Strategic Planning: Experience mapping out buyers journeys and campaigns. Help develop and implement effective social media strategies that align with the organization's goals.
- Market Research: An understanding of customer profiles and market segmentation.
- Influencer and affiliate marketing: Understanding of use and implementation.
- Partnerships: Comfortable with outreach and development Understanding of Social Media Platforms: Knowledge of the ins and outs of different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok is essential. Understanding of each platform's strengths and weaknesses, demographics, and best practices.
- Customer Service: A lot of customer interaction happens on social media. Coordinators need to be able to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently on social media platforms.
- Understanding of Current Trends: Being up-to-date with the latest social media trends and popular culture to help in creating relevant and engaging content.
- Crisis Management: If a social media crisis occurs, such as negative publicity or a customer complaint gone viral, the coordinator should be prepared to handle it effectively.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of social media management tools (Sprout Social), basic graphic design tools (Canva), and basic project management (Wrike).
- Understanding of Branding: Maintaining a consistent brand voice and image across all social media platforms is key.
- Time Management: Managing multiple platforms and campaigns can be time-consuming. Coordinators need excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Facebook lives, Instagram stories
- Experience using Google Suite
- Docs, Sheets, Slides and Calendar. Experience using Slack is an asset.
