Accounts Receivable Clerk

**Position Overview**:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will help contribute to the on-going success within the department and organization.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)**:
- Process invoices and customer sales orders;
- Manage intercompany transactions; prepare and process billing and reconcile accounts;
- Review customer contracts to understand billing requirements;
- Monitor and record incoming payments;
- Reconcile accounts;
- Contact customers to collect payment on past due amounts;
- Work cooperatively with all team members and external stakeholders involved in the completion of assigned duties;
- Analyze revenues and expenses monthly and calculate billing in accordance with terms of customer contracts;
- Act as primary point of contact for routine and complex telephone or written inquiries from customers and business partners regarding billing and collections;
- Comply with and maintain data integrity of confidential information, security policies and procedures;
- Perform collection activities for past due receivables, including collection calls and correspondence with business partners and customers
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance, accounting, business administration or relevant post-secondary education and a combination of continuing education and experience;
- **_ Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting role;_**:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability;
- Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs;
- Ability to self-manage multiple, simultaneous projects on deadline;
- Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
- Ability to exhibit sound judgement and confidentiality;
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
- **_ Excellent verbal and written communication skills_** with the ability to communicate with all departments within the company, including operations, human resources, accounting, etc.
- Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and to prepare calculations accurately while meeting internal and external deadlines;
- **_ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, in a fast-paced environment;_**:
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Willing to learn new skills, assist with automation of processes, and adapt to change to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
**Work Environment**:
- Indoor office environment with the potential of remaining seated for extended periods of time;
- Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
**Physical Demands**:
- Position may require the ability to carry, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds;
- Must operate office equipment as needed.
