**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
The Supervisor, Community Outreach & Education is responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality programming at Albion Hills Field Centre. The role oversees financial management (including revenue generation), staff supervision, partnership and stakeholder relationships, community engagement initiatives and event management.. Albion Hills Field Centre delivers year-round, curriculum-linked overnight education field trips for grades 4-12, delivers day and overnight summer camps at various locations in Albion Hills Conservation Park, offers weekend retreats for children and youth, such as Girl Guides, and professional development retreats and sessions for adults.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Oversees all aspects related to the end-to-end development and delivery of education and training programs and grade 4-12 education field trip programs, which includes bookings and registration, invoicing and customer service, food service delivery and custodial site maintenance.
- Leads a team of teaching, custodial, food service and camp staff and ensures that team members understand expectations; communicates schedule, tasks and discusses priorities.
- Oversees inventory and purchasing for Albion Hills Field Centre programs, custodial maintenance and food services. Leads procurement process.
- Meets with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Communications & Events and Finance, to collaborate on promotions. Works closely with the Supervisor, Conservation Parks to ensure excellent facility and grounds maintenance;
- Develops and manages revenue and business streams in support of camps and education programming, including fee for service programs and services, partnerships and grants
- Negotiates and manages agreement process for external partnerships related to programming, food services and facility use
- Develops and coordinates information sessions and training for education programs, summer camps, food service, and custodial services
- Leads a team of staff and ensures that team members understand expectations; communicates schedule, tasks and discusses priorities of items
- Supports a culture of workplace equity and inclusion that celebrates diversity
- In collaboration with Human Resources:

- Manages team recruitment, selection and hiring of talent
- Manages individual employee development and individual development plans, considering high performing staff and managing underperforming staff
- Recommends compensation performance adjustments
- Recommends individuals for promotions/transfers
- Ensures staff/volunteers/contractors, as applicable, comply with health & safety policies, and other TRCA policies, as applicable in various work environments, while leading incident investigation and mitigation process
- Incumbents may also be assigned other duties

**What will you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree Environmental Science, Education, Communications
- Valid Ontario Class G2 driver's license
- 4+ years of experience in Community Engagement and Outreach or Outdoor, Environmental or Museum Education
- 1+ years of progressive managerial, supervisory or project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines
- Strong budget management and cost control skills; able to address variances and manage ongoing risks while managing multiple deadlines/work processes
- Ability to deal effectively with management, peers, staff and the general public
- Demonstrated ability to solicit internal and external customer feedback in order to improve business relationships
- Forms strategic relationships with other organizations to improve the customer experience
- Collaborates with others to focus on objectives and effectively delegates work within a team
- Effective problem-solving skills and leadership skills, including staff coaching, managing performance and working collaboratively with other divisions
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act,
